Sliding Door Roller Replacement

Rollers are the single most common failure point on any sliding glass door. Each door panel rides on two roller assemblies, and when the bearings inside them seize or the wheels flatten, the door begins to drag across the track instead of rolling over it. Homeowners usually describe it as the door suddenly feeling heavy, or making a grinding sound.

We replace failed rollers with sealed stainless steel assemblies rather than the cheap zinc-plated units found in most hardware stores. Sealed bearings keep out the fine grit and salt that destroy standard rollers, and stainless construction is essential within a few miles of the coast. Every roller we install is fully adjustable so we can dial in the exact ride height.

Replacing rollers early also protects the rest of the door. A collapsed roller grinds a groove into the aluminum track, and once the track is damaged the repair becomes larger and more expensive. Addressing worn rollers promptly is the cheapest way to keep a slider healthy for years.
