The Problem
A track that is bent, pitted, or worn flat causes the door to catch, derail, and wear out new rollers prematurely. Damaged tracks are the hidden reason many 'repaired' doors fail again.
Our Solution
We repair or cap the existing track with a stainless steel track system, restoring a smooth, durable running surface the rollers can glide on for years.
The bottom track carries the entire weight of the door through its rollers, so when the track is damaged, nothing else in the system can work correctly. Worn rollers grind a valley into soft aluminum track, and salt corrosion pits the surface until the door catches and jumps every few inches.
Rather than replacing the whole door, we most often repair the track by installing a stainless steel track cap over the original. This gives the rollers a hardened, corrosion-resistant surface to run on and is dramatically more durable than the original mill-finish aluminum. Where the track is beyond capping, we replace the section entirely.
Repairing the track at the same time as the rollers is what separates a lasting repair from a temporary one. New rollers on a damaged track will fail again quickly, which is why our technicians always evaluate both together and quote them as one complete fix.
